Welcome to The Out Restaurant’s online address. The Out is one of the oldest restaurants on Fire Island. The Out, located in Kismet, is a casual bayside eatery and we have been serving beach lovers and sun seekers since 1974. We know what is so special about our beach community and want to share this information with you. Kismet is a mixture of locals and summer residents who enjoy the “laid back attitude” that Kismet offers. "No cars allowed" makes for a unique tranquil and stress free experience. A stay in Kismet is a true beach escape, only a hour away from NYC.

DIRECTIONS: FROM ROBERT MOSES STATE PARK, FIRE ISLAND
1. Park car at parking field # 5.
2. Walk toward the lighthouse (East) either on the beach front or on the walking path.
3. Pass the Lighthouse and continue walking (1/2 mile further) until you get to the first community, Kismet.
4. Make the left (heading North) on the second crosswalk which is East Lighthouse Walk and walk towards north (towards the Bay).
5. The Out Restaurant is located Bayside on East Lighthouse Walk.

DIRECTIONS: FROM FIRE ISLAND FERRIES TERMINAL
1. Park car at the Fire Island Ferry Terminal Parking lot and get onto boat for Kismet.
2 If coming by train to Bay Shore take cab down to Fire Island Ferry Terminal
3. Get on next available ferry boat to Kismet.
4. The Out is located at the foot of the ferry dock in Kismet.
